Give Like Dolly Day

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library began with a simple idea: every child should have books of their own.

That idea has traveled far—and it’s making a difference right here in Susquehanna County.

Through United Way of Susquehanna County, 𝟗𝟒𝟑 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 currently receive a new, age-appropriate book every month, delivered straight to their homes. Since the program began here, 𝟖𝟐,𝟒𝟏𝟗 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 have been placed in the hands of local children.

Now we’re asking our community to help us celebrate Dolly’s legacy in a fun and meaningful way.

DRESS DOWN FOR DOLLY!

Dress down, wear pink, add some sparkle—or create your own Dolly-themed fundraiser!

Collect $9, $5 or $2 donations in honor of 9/25 and help support United Way of Susquehanna County’s Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Host a pink-shirt day, bake sale, donation jar or team challenge—small ideas that add up to a big impact for local kids who receive books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Every dollar helps keep new, age-appropriate books arriving at home and sparks a lifelong love of reading.

Or maybe you come up with something completely your own.

There are no rules for having fun with Dolly Day—just find a way to make a difference.

$30 provides books for one child for an entire year.

$150 supports a child for the life of the program.

Every dollar raised stays right here in our community, helping put free books into the hands and homes of local children.
