Testimonials

Dear United Way of Susquehanna County, Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” Thank you for making a difference in this world through your giving. Your team members give of their time, talent, and passion as they work so hard to support non-profit organizations across this county. What would we do without you? Interfaith-Back to School ShoesYour continued support continues to make quite an impact on this county. Over the summer Interfaith assisted various families with electricity, water, housing, and other needs. Families have called us in just the past few weeks that are hurting due to the loss of jobs or unexpected health problems. Whether it is a single mom whose husband recently left her with four children and no income, a husband and wife who were laid off on the same day and then received an eviction notice, or a young mother whose baby was born prematurely who needs gas to visit her child in the neonatal unit, your gift helps us to help others. We are touched by your enthusiasm and compassion, as were 307 children as you helped to give them new shoes, backpacks, and school supplies through this year’s Back-to-School Shoe Program. You have helped to make their growth and education a success. One couple came to us because both parents are unable to work due to medical difficulties. With both dad and mom facing upcoming surgeries, receiving new school shoes for their children was a bright spot during a hard time. Thank you for providing a place where people in this area can turn for hope and help. We could not do nearly what we do without your partnership.
